Mountain Biking is an exhilarating experience, but can also be a dangerous activity which may lead to injury and or death.
Trailflix recommends that riders:
- always wear a helmet
- seek out proper training before riding any of the trails featured on this site and always ride within their abilities
- heed manufacturers’ warnings about their bicycle equipment before attempting to use any bike on a mountain biking trail
- use common sense when riding any mountain biking trails, and more especially rides featuring downhill sections.
- take account of the weather conditions prior to riding and take appropriate clothing. The Blue Mountains and other National Parks and State Forests can change weather very quickly. Severe exposure to cold and rain can lead to hypothermia
- take account of the fire risk in National Parks and State Forests and seek out the latest information from NPWS about trail and park closures before riding
- review the Trip Essentials page to help determine what items to take on a ride including maps, tools and spares
- do not ride alone and advise at least one other party of their destination, route and expected time of return
- Consult with a physician before attempting any exercise.
