Trailflix: Ourimbah - Trail Review |

This is one of the more distant ‘Sydney’ riding areas, but it’s well worth the hour or so drive along the freeway to get there. There’s a maze of trails – many coming off Red Hill Road – that lead to the furthest extents of the forest. Various sections are named – Jurassic Park, Roller Coaster, 5-ways… but if you know what you’re doing, or follow the map, you can generally continue from one to the other. There are enough steep hills, drops, curves, single track, flat, 4WD, and downhill sections to please everyone. Just a note: as this is a state forest, motorbikes are free to use the trails so listen out for them if it's a busy day. Just watch out for leeches unless of course you're into bloodsucking slugs... |
